King Lu (writer/director): A Humanitas Prize-winning filmmaker driven to tell high-concept stories that move people. In 2020, he won the HUMANITAS College Drama Fellowship for his screenplay From June to July, about the rise and fall of a Chinese American community in Atlanta, Georgia in the early 2010s. He is currently an Assistant Professor at Temple University teaching screenwriting.
Aaron Yu and Jera Wang (producers): Together, Aaron and Jera founded Narval Films in 2018. As the first and only film production company in the San Gabriel Valley, Narval Films has formed connections with a broad range of Asian American professionals and continues to produce independent films made by Asian American creators. Their work has been invited to more than 100 international film festivals.
Austin Drakes (associate producer): A film producer, actor, and writer. With a Bachelor's degree in Communication from Marist College, Austin developed a passion to write and create visual content to share his perspectives with the world. Austin graduated from Columbia University's MFA program where he studied Creative Producing. He has since served as a writer and producer on numerous award-winning short films.
Steve Milligan (cinematographer): A cinematographer hailing from Durham, NC, Steve has lensed short films that have won the jury award at Palm Springs Film Festival, won the audience award at the Full Frame Film Festival, and won the best short film award at the Golden Door International Film Festival.
